More Mammoth news . . .

Earlier in the year I was delighted to hear that About the Dark, a short story that first appeared in Black Static, was picked by Stephen Jones for the Mammoth Book of Best New Horror #23. Now the cover has been released, and it looks splendiferous:

And if that wasn’t enough, another short story, Scairt, has been selected for the beautiful Mammoth Book of Ghost Stories by Women, edited by the ever-talented Marie O’Regan. The hauntingly lovely cover is here:

Even more recently, I had a rather lovely surprise when editor Maxim Jakubowski contacted me about my story 4 a.m. when the Walls are Thinnest, first published in Crimewave magazine. It turns out he has selected it for the next volume of his anthology series, The Mammoth Book of Best British Crime, which in the past has featured some very fine writers including Ian Rankin, Kate Atkinson, Val McDermid, Steve Mosby and Mark Billingham. It’ll be out early in 2013.

If anyone out there is visiting Fantasycon in Brighton this September, the Ghost Stories and Horror anthologies will be available ahead of the official release date, and there will be signing sessions with many of the contributors. (There are further details on my ‘Events’ page.)

I’m looking forward to it – hope to see you there! 🙂
